Lesley Bodzy is a multi-media artist based in New York City and Houston. Her work explores how materiality can give form and visibility to psychological experiences. As a result, her sculptures, paintings, and installations are biographical in essence although her aesthetic language allows viewers to find their place among the minimalist narrative outlines that hold each piece together. Bodzy's projects often feature series through which various forms intended to position the viewer as a witness as well as a co-author, create new and unpredictable cycles of thoughts and associations, and provides an experimental opportunity to challenge one’s assumptions and perspectives.
